New Heights

Climbing Wall team building day
Venue: Ethos
Minimum of 6 climbers, maximum of 20

If you are looking for a series of fun and challenging teamwork tasks with a competitive edge, our New Heights team building day is ideal. Led by a team of fully qualified and creative climbing instructors, this is team bonding with a twist, bound to keep your employees talking for months!

Participants will enjoy a number of different challenges designed to encourage team cohesion and build positive employee relationships. The session will start with a general introduction to the wall, which includes health and safety procedures. Everyone is then divided into teams for a bit of friendly competition on the climbing wall as they complete the tasks:

Solve the puzzle
Bags containing puzzle pieces are places at the top of the climbing wall. Each team member must climb the wall and retrieve a piece of the puzzle. The first team to complete the puzzle wins.

River Crossing
Each team must scale the wall horizontally from one side to the other.  The catch? Each team member must carry some cargo with them. No team member can touch the floor after the starting point. They must not hold the cargo in their hands. Every team member must carry some cargo. The first team to ‘cross the river’ with all their cargo will win.

Darkness
One team member will be blind folded and it’s up to the rest of the team members to guide them to the top of the climbing wall and back. The team that completes the challenge in the quickest time will win.

Prizes
The winning team will receive a trophy and medals. The ‘climber of the day’ will receive a climbing membership to Ethos! At the end of the day, participants have the option of further activities in the sports hall, or the chance to relax in the pool, spa pool or sauna.

Please note: activities not suitable for children under 12 years of age
