Summer Event: the view from the Imperial Boathouse Terrace
April 26, 2013
Now that the weather is getting warmer, it’s finally that time of the year to go outdoors and enjoy some sunshine! At Sport Imperial, we have a variety of sports venues for outdoor activities, but the Boathouse - located on the Putney Embankment – has to be the premier spot for your corporate summer event.
You can treat your staff or corporate clients to an afternoon of sunshine, canapés and wine on the open terrace of the Boathouse, which has the most spectacular view of the rowing competitions on the Thames! Upcoming events include the famous Henley Rowing Regatta, one of the highlights of the summer sporting calendar, between 3 – 7 July 2013.
You might not be familiar with the Imperial Boathouse, but it’s the base for several of Imperial’s talented rowers, including Imperial Alumni Simon Dennis, Louis Attrill and Luka Grubor, who won Olympic Gold in the Men’s Eights in 2000. The Boathouse has a strong rowing heritage and a long record of success in events like the Henley Royal Regatta, the Prince Albert Challenge Cup, the Remenham Challenge Cup and the BUSA Head of the River Race. With the state-of-the-art in house gym, workshop, racking, function room and kitchen, the Boathouse makes for a great event location and something unusual this summer!
