How do I sign up for a membership?

You can join Ethos using our online membership system. Once your membership has been confirmed, you’ll need to watch an online fitness orientation before you can use the gym.

How old do I have to be to join?

You must be 16 or over to use the gym.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay either by monthly direct debit, or a one-off payment.

Do I have to pay a joining fee?

No, we do not charge a joining fee.

What are the off-peak access hours?

Our off-peak access times can be found on our opening hours page.

I’ve signed up to the wrong membership type, what do I do?

Membership FAQs

How do I cancel my membership?

We hope that you’ll be happy with your membership, but if you do wish to cancel you must do so either by writing to us (please allow one month from receipt of the letter for the cancellation to be applied), or by completing the online form.

Memberships can only be cancelled at the end of the contract. Direct debit memberships must be cancelled five days before the end of the month to stop the following month’s payment, subject to the membership terms and conditions.

When can I cancel my membership?

You can cancel your membership at any time, but it will not become effective until the contract period has ended.

How do I renew my memberships?

If you’d like to renew your membership, you can do so using our online form at least two days before the end of your current membership. If your membership has lapsed, you’ll need to re-join using the online system.

Can I freeze my membership?

If you’re going to be away for an extended period of time, it is possible to freeze your membership for a maximum of three months. All you need to do is complete the membership freeze form and hand back to reception. You’ll also need to cancel any direct debit payments at least five days before the next payment is due.

You can freeze your membership once in a 12-month period.

I have an off-peak membership but would like to take advantage of the summer peak membership options. How do I do this?

You can sign up for a summer membership and your current membership will be frozen. Once your summer membership ends, your current membership will resume.

Existing Member FAQs

Can I bring my child?

Members may bring their children to use the swimming pool on Saturday and Sunday mornings during term times only between 09.00 – 11.00 (last entry 10.30).  Please note all children must be able to swim without aids such as arm bands. Children may use the squash courts or climbing wall under the supervision of an adult member for a small fee per child. Please note: No children under the age of five can use our facilities. Access is subject to availability.

How do I book a personal training session?

You can book a personal training session directly with the trainer. For more information about personal training and contact details, please visit the personal training pages.

How do I book a sports therapy appointment?

You can book a treatment directly with the therapist. For more information about the sports therapies offered at Ethos, please visit the sports therapy pages.

Can I change my membership package?

To upgrade your membership package please contact a member of the Commercial team on 020 7595 9527.

How do I book a class/facility hire?

You can book classes, sports hall activities or squash courts online up to six days in advance. You’ll need to register as a user before you can make a booking.

How do I cancel a class booking?

Unfortunately you cannot cancel a class online. Please call the Ethos reception on 020 7594 6660  to cancel. Please note that bookings are not refundable.
