SW7, located on the ground floor of Ethos, is a brand-new gym space designed specifically for functional movement and exercise.

Functional fitness exercise is a specific type of training, focusing on core stability and exercise which mimic everyday movements including:

  • Squatting
  • Lunging
  • Pushing
  • Pulling
  • Twisting

SW7 benefits from open floor space and the latest Matrix equipment with MyZone technology, including:

  • Ski Erg
  • Assault Bike
  • Rig station with boxing bag, dip attachments, monkey bars, rope pull and core plates
  • Dumbbells
  • Battle ropes
  • Resistance bands
  • S-force and S-drive trainers

How to access SW7

Access to SW7 open gym sessions is included as part of the external Ethos memberships. Personal trainers and their clients will also have access to the area. The gym will be open to all users outside fitness class times.

Please note: Access to classes is currently available only to Imperial staff and students.
